_COLLIE NEWS AND CONNECTIONS

• Collie staff attended the recent Australian Landscape Conference 2009 which comprised two days of presentations and discussion on designing liveable landscapes. Highlights included the presentations on green roof design, mains water neutral design solutions and the kitchen garden schools program.
• Collie staff attended the recent VPELA Conference 2009: People Changing Places. The Conference was held over two days in Creswick. VPELA should be applauded for gathering a diverse array of presenters which kept the conference interesting and relevant. It was particularly interesting to listen to Christine Nixon talk about the work being done by the Bushfire and Reconstruction Taskforce. The good work certainly continues to be done despite the lack of coverage in the media.
• It should be easier to find the Collie office, with our new building sign (with planning approval of course!).
