_NEW BOUNDARY DISTRIBUTION

Collie has recently assisted Goodman Property Services (Goodman) in obtaining a planning permit to allow for the expansion of its distribution centre in Boundary Road, Laverton North.

The planning permit will allow for the use and development of three large warehouses providing a total of 24,672 square metres of warehouse floor area including ancillary office floor space.  In addition, the development will provide 157 car spaces and dedicated loading and unloading facilities for each warehouse.

As part of the planning permit approval Collie has assisted in addressing native vegetation issues on-site including negotiations with Wyndham City Council and the Department of Environment and Primary Industries for some of the native vegetation to be retained, with the remaining vegetation to be removed and offset in an appropriate location off-site.

The warehouses, with the use of high quality materials and finishes particularly to the ancillary office components, will be a welcome addition to the industrial precinct.  The office component of each of the warehouses has been designed to appear separate with architectural features and detailing intended to create visual interest, in particular where the buildings are most visible from the street.

Landscaping will be provided within the car parking areas as well as around the perimeter of the warehouse buildings to provide greenery as well as a comfortable working environment.

The warehouses will be extremely well serviced by transport infrastructure with excellent road access to the nearby Princes Freeway and Western Ring Road.  In addition, the area also benefits from proximity and good road access to Melbourne and Avalon Airports, and two major seaports.  These excellent connections will assist greatly freight and logistics operations on the site.
