_VCAT approves mixed-use development in Healesville

Collie recently provided expert town planning evidence at a Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) application for review for a mixed-use development at 165 Maroondah Highway, Healesville.

The proposal which sought approval for a four-storey apartment building with ground floor retail spaces, was refused by Yarra Ranges Council.  Following the application for review of the refusal Collie was engaged to provide expert town planning evidence on the appropriateness or otherwise of the proposal.

The hearing was conducted over several days and key issues were height, car parking, design and character, internal amenity and such.

The VCAT determination was for a planning permit to issue generally in line with the application.

We look forward to the completion of this project and the benefits it will bring to the Healesville community.
