_ID_Land expands Glenlee

ID_Land will expand on its masterplanned community known as ‘Glenlee’ through the recent town planning approval of a residential subdivision (see below) comprising 322 lots.  Glenlee is located within the Armstrong Creek Urban Growth area and approximately 6 kilometres to the south of the Geelong CBD.

Following the preparation and submission of the planning permit application by Collie, ID_Land appealed to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) on the failure of the City of Greater Geelong (CoGG) to make a decision on the application.

Collie assisted in providing town planning advice at the compulsory conference and is pleased that the application was resolved without the need for a full VCAT hearing.

A feature of the project was recognising the heritage of the former Sparrovale Farming Complex and assisting with advising ID_Land on the extent of heritage fabric that should be retained reasonably by the subdivision.

A key challenge was being able demonstrate to CoGG that that the subdivision could be approved, based on flood modelling that has been completed by the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority, before the flood overlay affecting part of the land is removed.

Collie looks forward to the commencement of this project.
