Collie assisted Stockland in its responses to the draft precinct structure plan and in obtaining planning approval for the subdivision and development of the eastern precinct at The Grove. The eastern precinct is expected to deliver a range of dwellings including some medium-density housing and recreational public open space areas.

Upon completion of both the eastern and western precincts, it is expected that The Grove will accommodate more than 2,500 dwellings, a retirement village, recreational public open space areas [including a sports ground], a town centre [including a supermarket and specialty stores] and state primary and secondary schools.

The Collie role to date includes:

  • representing Stockland as the town planning consultant at the Planning Panel hearing for the rezoning of the land to allow residential development;
  • preparation of a town planning permit application to allow for the subdivision and development of the eastern precinct;
  • preparation of a memorandum of common provisions to control siting and built form for dwellings to achieve a character for The Grove desired by Stockland;
  • preparation of a town planning permit application for a display village;
  • preparation of a town planning permit application for advertising signs.
